Skövde

If you haven’t visited Skövde before then it’s high time you do so. The city is conveniently situated in west Sweden between Lake Vänern and Lake Vättern, at the foot of Billingen hill and surrounded by a beautiful countryside. Skövde, with a population of 50 000 inhabitants, has a lot to offer.

The town is located at the foot of Billingen, which has everything from a ski slope, cross-country ski tracks, jogging tracks, lakes for fishing and forests rich in flora and fauna.

On the side of the mountain Billingen in the east, the inland ice has left the unique Valle area, a softly undulating landscape rich in lakes.

The University of Skövde is a relatively young university with about 8000 students, among those a lot of foreign students.

Lake Hornborga is a bird lake all year round. In the winter is eagle time at the lake.
